Our business at Swiss Re is about understanding and analysing the major risks that concern the world – from natural catastrophes to climate change, from ageing populations to cybercrime.
The programme combines general business learning modules and specific technical modules allowing you to develop a well-rounded curriculum including analytical, communication and leadership skills development linked to Swiss Re’s corporate principles and strategy. Additionally, you will undertake a 16-20 week job rotation and will meet and interact with people from different countries, with varying backgrounds and different professional experiences.
You will be supporting the Regional manager in maintaining and developing client relationships in the Southern Africa market in order to gain new reinsurance business and to see product development opportunities. You will learn about Swiss Re’s standard but also cutting edge reinsurance products, which you and your international cross functional team have to market. You will meet SRe’s clients and become an accepted discussion partner for them. With your excellent interpersonal and analytical skills you understand the needs of Swiss Re’s clients and deliver solutions in the best possible way. You support renewal discussion with the aim to beat our ambitious plan. You will excel in your Graduate related tasks and use your insights gained during your various training phases and rotations in the best way to support your home base.
About the team
The Southern Africa Property & Casualty (P&C) team is responsible for the development and profitability of our various product lines.
We identify, analyze and monitor key business drivers and develop new products and solutions to close the protection gap and to support the growth of the reinsruance business in Southern Africa.
