SYSTEM DEVELOPER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY 2 POSTS

Six Month Contract
SALARY : R115 212 plus 37% per annum in lieu of benefits, Salary Level 5
CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : A three year National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
(NQF level 6); software engineering, computer science, computer studies or a related
field is preferred. Proven experience in web design standards and making
appropriate use of the latest or modern web technologies e.g. Joomla, Drupal,
XHTML, HTML, JavaScript etc; desktop and LAN/WAN support; Microsoft
development environment and databases (VB.net, MS Access, and SQL).
Knowledge of system development; Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint); mobile/tablet technology & operating systems (IOS, Android, Windows
etc). Excellent verbal and written communication skills; customer orientation;
planning and organising skills.

DUTIES : The successful candidates will design, implement and maintain the Department’s
intranet webpage; provide IT desktop & LAN support; assist with IT service desk
duties; undertake IT assets audits and verification; install and configure transversal
Government systems for users (BAS, PERSAL and LOGIS); maintain an inventory of
all computer equipment in the Department; perform IT ad-hoc tasks/activities.
