Job Title: Human Resources Manager – Durbanville (Atlas Gardens)

Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Payroll function:
Managing the full payroll function on the VIP Payroll system
-Monthly processing (includes overtime, purchases, bonusses, increases and other changes)
-Leave management
-Monthly EMP201 submissions.
– Bi- annual and Annual EMP501 submissions
SARS queries and audits for payroll taxes
Take responsibility for the annual audit of the payroll ledgers
UIF management
Return of Earnings
HR Functions:
Recruitment (Interviews, Contracts)
Employee disputes or queries
Disciplinary hearings with attorney
Management of Policies and procedures, Skills claims, Employment Equity, POPIA and BEE.
Management meetings
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Experience and Qualification:
5 years’ experience and/or a tertiary qualification in Human Resources/Finance is essential.
Advanced payroll management experience with a minimum of 5 years in payroll administration. In depth knowledge of statutory and discretionary payroll deductions and PAYE calculations
In addition to at least 3 year’s exposure to team leadership/supervisory role.
An expert knowledge of VIP payroll, efiling and a@syfile
Good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations including the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Employment Equity Act (EEA) and Skills Development and Levies Act (SDA, SDLA); and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
A sound understanding of the full spectrum of Human Resources, including policies and procedures, Skills, EE, POPIA and BEE.
Skills AND Competencies:
Strong attention to detail. Accuracy in capturing and reporting on HR metrics for both management and regulatory reporting is essential.
Excellent relationship building and management capability with both internal (employees, exco) and external (third parties, regulatory bodies) business partners is essential
Strong commercial acumen with a thorough understanding of financial transactions, particularly as it relates to payroll and budgeting
Advanced MS Office Excel and Intermediate MS Word, Powerpoint etc will be beneficial
