The Commercial Business Development Manager contributes to the organisational goals by growing and retaining business within their designated portfolio with a view to increase market share and the profitability of the business insurance department in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape regions.

Specification
•Responsible for driving the achievement of all leads and sales target delivery; including effective leads and sales target setting, achievement of performance ratios and ensuring new business cancellations are within target.
•Responsible for strategic alignment and management of the team’s performance while effectively addressing non-performance with corrective action in a constructive manner, ensuring talent is retained.
•Identify, interpret and understand any fluctuations to disproportionate cancellation ratios and implement corrective measures.
•Manage operational and marketing expense budgets to ensure operational cost efficiency within approved budgets.
•Continuously assess competitor offerings and propose ideas for improvement using fact based evidence.
•Ensure customer satisfaction is monitored via applicable survey tools, and data analysis. Ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented to ensure contunous improvement and effective management of complaints and escalations for speedy resolution.
•Ensure the effective implementation of Business Plan activities, including monthly team meetings where actions are recorded and executed.
•Continuously monitor and review resource capacity and efficiency, identify constraints and ensure that obstacles are resolved.
•Ensure continuous team enablement and development through business processes, systems, knowledge, monitoring, recognition (monetary and non-monetary where necessary), coaching / mentoring and addressing absenteeism trends.
•Draft and manage internal Service Level Agreements with stakeholders and ensure that quarterly review meetings take place.

Requirements
Education:
Essential:
•Grade 12 (Standard 10) with University Entrance (
•RE5 Essential.
•Full STI Credits Essential.

Experience:
Essential:
•1-3 years’ work experience in commercial insurance management and general sales.

Knowledge of:
•Knowledge of FAIS, administration and sales system, products, policies and procedures.

Skills:
•Commercial insurance management
•Sales

MUST HAVE OWN RELIABLE CAR AND VALID DRIVERS LICENCE
