Currently, Teltonika Morocco (a subsidiary of Teltonika IoT Group) is looking for a Networking and IoT Engineer to join us in our South African Office. In this position, you will report into the Teltonika Network and Routers Support team supporting the sales team that sells products such as but not limited to industrial routers, gateways, switches, and ethernet solutions.

Job Title: Networks & IoT Engineer
Location: Midrand

Job Summary:
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
Guide employees and customers on how to use Teltonika Networks devices and solutions (consult, provide trainings)
Solve technical issues and ensure prevention
Constantly supervise and prepare the devices technical documentation
Assess customer needs in the local region, in topics such as, but not limited to, new features, raise proposals for implementation and supervise implementation process
Participate in direct communication with clients to answer technical questions (conference calls, visits to clients)
Perform quality assurance tasks before providing solution to customer
Coordinate queries with R&D, Production, QA and Supply management.
Train internal Sales Managers & Clients on internal configuration systems and devices.
WE BELIEVE THAT YOU:
Are fluent in English (both spoken and written) as it will be your primary working language
Have technical / engineering education
Can analyse and solve complex technical problems
Have excellent communication skills
Are a self-starter that is solution orientated and will find ways to gather information to solve complex tasks
Have working knowledge of software and operating system principles
Have knowledge of computer network architecture and technologies
Have knowledge of server operating principles and technologies, programming languages
Have basics of telecommunication systems and technologies
Are able to prepare technical documentation
Are able and experience configuring VLANs, QoS
Are able and experience configuring various industrial IoT protocols: Modbus, MQTT, TR-069, JSON-RPC
Have experience working with embedded, Linux-based operating system
Have good knowledge and ability to work with SDK
Have good problem solving (troubleshooting) skills
Have knowledge and ability to use “AT“commands
Are able to write simple bash/ash scripts
Have knowledge of Firewall principles, ability, and experience configuring Firewall with IPTABLES
