The Cape Town Multi Service Recent Job Opportunity

The Cape Town Multi Service Centre, Child and Family Care and Early Childhood Development Centre (CTMSC) was established on 1 September 2004 to facilitate programmes and projects for street children, youths, and their families. It is a nonprofit Organisation (NPO) registered with the Western Cape Government. CTMSC is subsidised by the Department of Social Development as a Child and Youth Centre (CYCC) for 35 boys aged 10 to 18.

Job Title: Child and Youth Care Worker for the CYCC (residential facility)
Job Location: Salt River, Cape Town

Responsibilities:

• Care for male children between 10 and 18 years’ old
• Manage household activities
• Assist children with daily activities
• Conduct therapeutic and developmental programmes for children with guidance from the social worker
• Maintaining a positive and compassionate discipline structure in the home

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Basic qualification in Child and Youth Care Work
• Registered with the SACSSP
• Valid driver’s license
• Passion for working with children
• Conflict management skills
• Must be fluent in both Afrikaans and English
