The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) in accordance with its mandate under Electoral Act, Act No 5 of 2014, will be conducting a Supplementary Registration of Voters scheduled for September 2020 and subsequently Regional and Local Authority Elections scheduled for November 2020.

In view of this, the ECN is therefore inviting competent persons to apply for the following temporary positions.

Remuneration:

•Unemployed – Fixed Daily Rate for Registration and days outside polling – N$ 436.00 per day
•Unemployed – Fixed Daily Rate for Polling – N$ 670.00 per day

•Training Fee – Fixed Daily Rate for Registration and days outside polling – N$ 100.00 per day
•Training Fee – Fixed Daily Rate for Polling – N$ 100.00 per day
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

•Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 2) or equivalent qualification with appropriate experience.
•Applicants must have a valid driver’s License.
•Previous electoral experience and computer literacy will serve as an added advantage.

Additional Requirements:

•Ability to work in a team, integrity, professionalism is some of the recommended attributes.
•Demonstrable knowledge and experience of elections related activities.
•Numerical skills are highly required.
•Applicants must be impartial and non-partisan and must be willing to work long and irregular hours.
•Listed references with traceable contacts must be provided.
