We are looking for a dynamic and professional graduate with knowledge the Cape Town Jewish Community to join our team as a Fundraiser, Ambassador and Administrator.
Job Position: Fundraiser
Location: Highlands Estate, Cape Town
Reporting to: Foundation Trust Manager
Nature of contract: Full-time, permanent (Mon –Thurs: 8.30-5pm; Fri 8.30-3pm)
Starting date: 1 March 2018
Salary: R20,000- R25,000 per month (subject to experience)

Main Duties & Responsibiliities
- Daily, active telephonic fundraising
- Fundraising through social media campaigns and events
- Supporting the Foundation Manager with financial and administrative processes, maintaining good governance
- Be able to manage the entire Fundraising donor cycle
- Work alongside the Foundation Manager to implement strategy
- Conducting donor web-based research and setting up of donor meetings
- Assisting with event planning and execution
- Compiling marketing and communications
- Manage social media content production and story-telling.
Required Skills & Experience
The ideal applicant:
Education and Work Experience:
- Have 2-5 years’ professional fundraising, administration, communication and marketing skills
- Have 2-5 years’ Digital and Social Media marketing/fundraising experience
- Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management systems like Salesforce, and mass communication tools like MailChimp
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, essential
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Have superior verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Be comfortable and professional approach, to engage with a range of donors
- Ability to communicate telephonically in an effective and professional manner
- Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people from all ages and stages of life
Administrative and Organisational Skills:
- Be self-motivated and able to prioritise workflow.
- A flexible, self-driven individual who is able to multi-task and work autonomously while maintaining open channels of communication with a team
- Highly organised with strong planning skills
- Methodical and process oriented
- Have excellent computer skills, particularly Excel
- Have solid administration skills and be process-driven
- Have financial acumen and be able to read a financial report
General:
- Passionate and interested in the Cape Town Jewish Community and continuity
- Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook) is essential
