The Homestead Projects for Street Children,successfully transitions neglected and traumatised children away from the street, back home or on to successful independent living through a holistic set of prevention, outreach, stabilisation, residential care, and family reunification and youth transition programmes. The Homestead works with chronically neglected, abused, and abandoned children as well as with children living, working and begging on the street.

Job Title: Three new Auxiliary Child and Youth Care workers
Location: The Homestead CYCC in Khayelitsha, Cape Town.

Requirements:

• Certificate in Child and Youth Work.
• Valid and current SACSSP registration
• Valid Drivers license
• Willingness to work shifts; Including night shifts, public holidays and  weekends
• Willingness to work with boys between the ages of 7 and 17
• Fluency in English and either Afrikaans or Xhosa
• Must be passionate about developing and empowering children towards success.
• Ability to work within a team, a self starter, with initiative, accountability, integrity and drive.

Salary consummate with experience between R5500 to R6000 per month plus provident fund.
