Vacancy Details

Do you have a minimum five years proven track record running an efficient warehouse operation and you live in Plettenberg Bay? We require a deadline orientated individual with excellent attention to detail to manage our clients warehouse with the best systematic and inventory controls.  Own vehicle and drivers license essential.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain would be advantageous
• Familiar with Workplace Safety and Environmental factors
• 5 years + of proven working experience in Warehouse Management
• Proven experience in distribution and logistics management
• Proactive analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Effective leadership and team development ability.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Strong communication skills to manage the internal and external stakeholder expectations
• Good personal presentation
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
• Good commercial and business understanding
• Driver’s License essential

DUTIES

• Day to day activity of running the inventory and warehouse operations
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations
• Implementing operational policies and procedures
• Effectively uncover and resolve complex customer and employee issues
• Implementing and overseeing security operations
• Managing and ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
• Ensuring health and safety of warehouse staff
• Motivating and disciplining staff
• Dealing with customers attentively with problem solving where required
• Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse activities
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles
• Plan work, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
• Plan future capacity requirements
• Manage and monitor staff performance and progress
• Keeping abreast of workload in the day to day pressurized environment

Salary: negotiable dependent on experience
