The Toyota Graduate Recruitment Programme came into being when the company recognised the need for in-house grooming of engineers. It proved successful and moved on to the recruitment of other fields of study such as HR, Marketing and IT. Every year students from various universities are requested to make an application that is coordinated by the universities local career centre. These applications are screened, short listed, and the successful candidates are requested to attend an interview and a presentation of their final year design projects. Although the crux of the of the programme centres around the recruitment of engineering students, some students from other disciplines are also recruited.
Toyota is as much part of South African culture as braaivleis and sunny skies. Toyota South Africa has been around since 1961. We’re also part of a bigger, very special, global picture; one based on a holistic management style that is as much about contributing to the world we live in as it is about making and selling cars. In this section, we have tried to give you a brief overview of our management principles and structures.
Students are advised to observe their notice boards for any further information.
