Job Title: Technical Specialist: Suspension (2 year Contract)

Job Description: The successful incumbent will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Suspension Plant to meet the Company’s objectives by providing plant availability to ensure a facility that enables the production of components of high quality standard in a cost effective manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Project Management experience essential
• NQF6 (360 credits on the 8 level framework)
• National Diploma (Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience (post qualification)
• B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum of 4 years work experience (post qualification)
• Computer literacy is essential
• Auto cad drawing
• Translate & understanding of engineering drawings
• Knowledge on CNC tooling
• Proven experience in an machining manufacturing environment
• Welding & fabrication
• Planning & organising
• Knowledge of ISO standards & systems

Job Description: The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Manager and fulfill necessary requirements within the department, to meet company objectives by:
Performing the function of Project Leader.
To obtain the best balance between customer needs and production complexity.
Localization and development of components

 

Key Job Functions

• Part Development (Press).
• Line Development.
• Approval of Parts (PPAP/SQAM)
• Project Management.
• Feasibility Projects.
• Read and interpret Engineering part drawings.
• Toyota Problem-solving techniques.
• Maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Generating Reports.

 

Qualifications and Experience

• NQF6 (360 credits on the 8 level framework)
• National Diploma (Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience (post qualification)
• B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum of 4 years work experience (post qualification)
• Experience in the automotive industry will be an advantage.
• Quality engineering experience on functional aspects of vehicle is preferable.
• Must have experience in CAD.
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must be Computer Literate.
• Must be prepared to work shifts.
