Remuneration:

Commencing salary of R212 106.00 per annum (Excluding benefits)
Equity Requirement In terms of the dti’s EE requirements, preference will be given Coloured male/female, Asian & White male candidates.

Overview

The Industrial Development Incentive Administration Division within the dti have two vacant positions for Trade and Industry Advisors which are now open for applications
Duties Processing of applications/claims and verification of information;
Interaction with customers on their applications/claims, providing sound advice;
Conduct site inspections for verification of authenticity of entity;
Interpret financial statements;
Ensure that project summaries are timeously prepared for Committee Members;
Risk management to prevent fraudulent claims (Verify company details, tax clearance certificate, invoices, proof of payments);
Submit claims to Finance for payment;
Prepare letters of approval to applicants after Adjudication Committee meetings ;
Ensure approved grant applicant files are complete for safekeeping at Registry;
Assist the ASD on compiling and providing statistical reports to management;
Provide Administrative assistance within the Business Unit;

Requirements

A National Diploma/BCom degree in Accounting/ Economics/ Business Economics coupled with 1-2 years relevant experience in the private or public sector;
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office packages;
Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
Effective time management skills;
Ability to work in a co-ordinated team as well as a sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure;
Good customer and liaising skills;
Attention to detail;
