G4S Aviation Security Services (SA), a leading global integrated security solutions company, has a vacancy for a Training Officer based at one of our key clients in Cape Town.
The purpose of the role is to implement all training and development, technical and behavioural training solutions for operations in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements to meet the business and customer needs.
Reporting to the Training Co-ordinator and functionally to the National Training Manager, the main product lines in responsibility requires AVSEC and regulatory NKP requirements to meet business and customer needs.
The position requires at least 3 years aviation relevant operational experience (CIT, Armed Response) and NKP accreditations within a controlled learning training environment. Accreditation with CAA-Aviation qualifications: DGR (dangerous goods), AVOP (Aviation vehicle operators permit), AVSEC (aviation security), safe passage and Airside induction is a minimum requirement. Accreditation with the SASSETA as Facilitator/Assessor/Moderator is essential.
Further accreditations will include PSIRA Grade A and PSIRA Instructor, NKP Instructor and Firearms Instructor.
The successful incumbent is a self starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which human resources playswithin a successful business unit.

The Ideal Candidate
Grade 12 and / or equivelant
Tertiary degree
High computer literacy also written and spoken
Military/Police back ground
Experience in PSIRA/SASSETA training environment 3 years minimum
3 years relevant operational experience (CIT/Armed Response/Security)
Min 3 Years Aviation experience
Good understanding of company policies, practices, processes and systems
Basic Research methodology
Basic Statistics and reporting
Previous experience of planning, facilitation monitor and control of learning interventions
Preference code EC (10) valid driver’s License
Valid Firearm Competency Certificate
Good understanding of, unit standards
Above average understanding of NQF and SAQA legislation and framework
