Training and Resources in Early Education (TREE) is a nonprofit organisation that specialises in Early Childhood Development, resource and training.

Job Title: Project Coordinator for Fundraising, Marketing and Communication within the Business Development Unit
Job Location: Durban
Salary: Negotiable

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with your line manager, ensure the successful planning, implementation and completion of all projects related to the business development unit
  • Research and source funding against targets set
  • Proposal writing and presentations to donors/funders on an ongoing basis
  • Liaise with donors on a regular basis ensuring donor requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Support overall Public Relations, Media and Marketing projects such as campaigns, events, website development (and maintenance) and market research
  • Develop and execute special events (income and non-income generating events)
  • Liaise with service providers to develop marketing materials in consultation with your line manager
  • Ensure broad media coverage for the organisation on a regular basis
  • Prepare and distribute the quarterly newsletter
  • Submit weekly, monthly plans and reports
  • Provide a document management, research and archiving function with regard to proposal development

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Relevant Qualification (Marketing/Public Relations Degree)
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Fundraising/Event Coordination
  • Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong in the English language (Second language is an advantage)
  • Driver’s license compulsory
  • Must be comfortable with travelling to rural communities and be able to stay overnight (accommodation will be provided)
  • Design experience (invitations, programmes/presentations and social media posts) (advantage)
  • Experience in Early Education (advantage)
  • Experience in a nonprofit environment (advantage)
