MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To reconcile and balance creditor/debtors accounts using General Dealership policies and General Accounting procedures.
The job will be considered successful under the following conditions:

Monies paid
Books of Dealership and supplier balanced

RELATIONSHIPS AND PERSONAL ACTIVITIES

Directly responsible to the Financial Manager.
Relationships with Customers and company staff.

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Bank monies
Process cash book
Perform Bank reconciliation and ensure it balances
Follow up age analysis
Manage and reconcile floorplan statements
Assist in preparation of monthly commissions etc.
RFC correctly allocated. Credit notes issued to customer. Customer account balances
Compile debtors statements
Post General Ledger
Do petty cash
Process suppliers invoices
File invoices and recons – daily (at this stage done by Gertrude)
General Filing.
Daily cash flow monitoring in conjunction with FM
Report to Financial Manager
Assist Financial Manager, when required to do so.
Candidate Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Suitable tertiary education in retrospect to the job
Motor Dealership experience
Experience as a working Bookkeeper in a car dealership
