Job Summary:
Treatment of clinical cases and supervision of Clinicians treating companion animals, including equines at UNAM Veterinary Hospital. Lecturing veterinary students in selected topics in equine clinical studies as determined by the Head of Department; as well as supervision of surgical sterilization practical’s. Conduct practical sessions in the Skills lad/wet lab, and where applicable with live animals. conduct continuous assessments of students. Participate in organization and implication of sixth year clinical rotation training.

Active participation in research and community service in the School of Veterinary Medicine.

Requirements:
Unconditional registration as a Veterinarian in Namibia, with at least 8 years of proven clinical experience in all companion animals, but particularly in the field of equine medicine. Experience in managing junior clinical staff in the context of a veterinary hospital in companion animal clinical practice including surgery and internal medicine is a recommendation. BVM or equvilaint qualification. Experience in veterinary education and participation in community service activities will be an advantage. clinical expertise will be partially assessed in shortlisted candidates.
