University of Namibia herewith invites all qualified candidates to apply for the position of Assistant Lecturer: Occupational Therapy (Psychosocial) in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation within the School of Medicine at Hage Geingob Campus.

 

 

 

job Title: Assistant Lecturer: Occupational Therapy (Psychosocial)

Job Summary:

Teaching Occupational Therapy students and assisting in module development; Teaching OT student’s skills in psychosocial interventions using groups and demonstrating the clinical importance in psychosocial rehabilitation. Must be able to assist in developing group therapy program for personality disorders. Will provide supervision for 2nd and 3rd year OT students on psychosocial clinical placements in clinical work at Windhoek Clinical Hospital and Katutura Intermediate Hospital, or outpatient clinics. Performing administrative duties; Work together with the colleagues of the Occupational Therapy Programme and the Department Coordinator to further the development of the Occupational Therapy Programme.

Requirements
BSc degree in Occupational Therapy (Hons); preferably post-graduate neuro-developmental skills training course(s); be registered with HPCNA or registerable as an Occupational therapist. Preferably 2 years’ academic teaching and clinical teaching experience in a tertiary institution to under graduate students. Experience as clinical supervising/coordinator of psychosocial occupational therapy and well-being and Occupational performance and engagement. Must have vast clinical experience in psychosocial occupational therapy and group interventions.
