The University of Namibia is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the vacant positions of Professor/Associate Professors in the School of Law, under the Faculty of Commerce, Management and Law: Windhoek, Namibia

Job Summary:
The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Private and Commercial Law and other departments as the need arises. They will be expected to teach Law of Persons, Family Law and Divorce Law, Private International Law and Criminal Law on both full-time and distance modes. The candidate must be able to participate in the administration and teaching of postgraduate programmes in the School of Law. The Appointee will also perform any other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the HOD, Associate Dean and the Executive Dean as the need arises.
Requirements:
Professor:
-An LLB;LLM and an LLD/PHD form a common Law Jurisdiction;
-Three years’ service at the level of Associate Professor and a satisfactory record of teaching and record of community service to the wider community;
-Cumulative record of twenty-five (25) publications of which seven (7) should have been published since the attainment at the rank of Associate Professor. further, twelve (12) should have been published in refereed scholar work.
– Should have experience supervising post-graduate students.
Associate Professor:
An LLB;LLM and an LLD/PHD form a common Law Jurisdiction;
-Three years’ service at the level of Associate Professor and a satisfactory record of teaching and record of community service to the wider community;
-Cumulative record of seventeen (17) publications of which seven (7) should have been published since the attainment at the rank of Senior Lecturer. further, six ( 6) should have been published in refereed scholar work.
– Should have experience supervising post-graduate students.
