Van Der Merwe Vervoer (Pty) Ltd, an industry leading freight and logistics company, is currently looking for a Logistics Intern to join their talented team at their Headquarters in Saldanha.

Job Title: VDM Logistics Internship

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Business Discipline
• Computer literate with a good knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
• Good Attemtion to detail, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical approach and comfortable working with numbers.
• Familiarity with supply chain principles.
• Ability to communicate confidently with personnel from all levels of the business.
• Able to use own initiative with the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
• Able to present themselves and negotiate to customers and suppliers.
• Flexibility of approach towards working hours.
• Have a valid drivers’ license and own transport.
• Contactable references Daily scheduling of component and tradable product.
• Responsible for creating essential daily logistics reports.
• Project coordinator for assigned planning and procurement activities.
