This position will be accountable for providing the overall management of system solutions and technology services to the Group and Southern Africa.
A key function of this role is to lead a high-performance team, responsive to both business and retail partner requirements. The IT Executive Southern Africa will play a critical role within the Forum and to drive in-country strategy implementation.
Job Title: IT Executive
Duties & Responsibilities:
Confirms IT priorities and service levels with the Executive Team.
Develops and maintains a multi-year operational plan that is aligned with the business strategy to ensure that the Programmes, Systems and infrastructure continue to evolve.
Manages the SAP implementation ensuring business readiness and value optimisation.
Collaborate with the BI team to enable data driven analytics and decision making to ensure effective business responses.
Ensure infrastructure and services are managed against agreed performance indicators
Engage with Stakeholders to provides deep insights into Retailer expectations, opportunities to enhance a cost-effectiveness and technology asset service
Is a key partner in ensuring that all retail formats and brand requirements are met (Back Office and Front office)
Oversees the full omnichannel technology platform and ensures effective eCommerce technical solutions and ecosystem management
Develops and manages the IT department budget, expenses, non-recurring and capital expenditures against business plans.
Actively contributes to strategic insights and thought leadership.
Collaborates with the security team to ensure that cyber security efforts safeguard company assets and interests
Provides leadership to the IT team in a manner that supports the company’s culture
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related Commercial qualification
Business Administration post graduate qualification is preferred
8 – 10 years’ experience in a Senior Executive or role in large enterprise
10 years’ experience in the Retail sector providing system services and solutions
Experience managing IT Projects and teams to ensure system upgrades or new technology implementation.
Previous record of successful IT solution deliveries
Building partnerships with vendors and non-technology business leaders
Working knowledge of enterprise business applications, network operating systems, solution architecture & infrastructure management, and telecommunications infrastructure
Good understanding of retail back & front office technology & associated security and risk.
Capable of driving in-country requirements while operating within a global framework.
Knowledge of SAP including S4HANA as well as related SAP warehousing and Purchasing solutions.
Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship skills.
A strong focus on customer service and partner satisfaction.
