Role Description
To plan, co-ordinate and implement the Finance Management Information projects to align with Vodafone and Vodacom Group strategic reporting initiatives, as well as other improvement initiatives identified from time to time.

Key Accountablities

MI Project Stategy
Identify all Vodafone, Vodacom Group and other Finance reporting initiatives
Liase with Vodafone BI team to obtain a good understanding of the project requirements and share with Finance community
Prioritize projects and manage demands based on strategic relevance, resource impact and budget availability
Facilitate good collaboration between all stakeholders, amongst others Finance MI & Reporting, Finance Business Partners, Finance Operations, Billing Group, Business Intelligence (BI), Finance Group MI and Vodafone BI.

MI Project Planning
Define the overall project goal and what should be acomplished
Define the general expectations of customers, management, or other stakeholders
Define and document the general project scope, risks, constraints and the project team
Compile the list of activities and responsible resources
Develop and document a workable schedule

MI Project Co-ordination
Monitor deviations in schedule
Evaluate impacts, risks and budget constraints on project
Take corrective action by rescheduling, adapting resource levels or Initiating change requests
Ensure quality project documentation is maintained
Efficient project status reporting to all stake holders

MI Project Implementation
Lead the project team
Meet with members of the project team on a regular basis
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and develop strong stakeholder relationships
Resolve conflicts that arise during projects
Manage and approve change requests

MI Project Post Implementation Review
Indentify, document and share lessons learned

Matric/Grade 12 or SAQA Accredited Equivalent
B.Com degree
At least 3-5 years previous project management experience, preferably within the telecoms industry
At least 3-5 years Financial experience, spanning across various financial processes
Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Projects
Telecoms industry experience
ERP knowledge, focussed on SAP across various modules and understanding of interaction with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)
Experience in management of financial information and reporting
