Job Description and Responsibilities
The repair and maintenance of electronically and mechanically controlled machinery and equipment, i.e:
? Maintain, programs and manage all welding equipment in plant, which includes: ARO weld timers and spot weld guns (Robotic and Manual), British Federal weld timers, Euro weld guns, Inuie weld guns, CO2/MIG/MAG welding machines and Stationary/Projection welding machines
? Implement and manage maintenance programs on all welding equipment
? Provide training on all welding equipment
? Keep records of all signed off welding parameters
? Upgrading of all welding equipment with new technology
? Researching new welding technology
? Keep track and making sure all welding systems’ spares are available at all times
? Maintain Group standards
? Fault Finding on all Body Shop welding systems in the event of a break down
?Install, commission, program and maintain all new welding systems in Body Shop

 

Education and Experience

? Have a Diploma or Degree in Engineering studies with relevant maintenance experience
? Have recognised welding training and experience
? Have experience in a Body Shop environment & above listed equipment
? Have specialist knowledge and experience on Kuka robots
? Have experience in Project Management in the motor industry

 

Skills, Attributes & Other requirements

? Be willing to work overtime whenever necessary and/or requested
? Be willing to work weekends, public holidays and during Plant shut-down, whenever necessary and/or required
? Be available for standby
