The Walt Disney Company, Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our South Africa office working for our Sub Saharan Africa Retail group.
The Key Account Manager will:
Drive significant revenue growth of all TWDC retail in defined accounts.
Be responsible for managing the business relationship with designated retail accounts and delivering against both Disney and account objectives.
In conjunction with Category Managers ensure that product and marketing efforts are coordinated and effective, exploiting channel and customer opportunities.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Build and maintain excellent relationship with Key Accounts
Understand Account objectives, key strategies, concepts, competitors, and consumer/shopper targets.
Secure and improve existing business and initiate & launch proactivelynew products, projects and properties
Develop and gain agreement on annual joint business plan that aligns The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) objectives and strategies with Key
Account objectives and strategies.
Develop comprehensive implementation plans for customer-specific programs and manage the execution through constant communication and a joint project management process.
Establish and organize the set-up of regular summits & reviews with Key Accounts
Lead a cross functional TWDC team towards achieving desired results in Key Accounts (Marketing, Category Management, Senior
Management, Advertising Sales & Promotions
Deliver the product strategy as defined by the Category Managers
Assist in the forecasting process to ensure tight budget control and achievement of sales goals
Drive and improve reporting processes (i.e. SKU Counting and Sell-Through Data)
Build relationships at multiple-levels and functions in order to influence key decisions and execute promotions fixed in business plan (Buying,
Sr. Management, Operations and Marketing)
Facilitate the alignment and relationships with operations teams
Ensure precise, consistent, and timely communication with the Category Managers, Licensees and distributors of Key Account activity
Constantly investigate the market for new opportunities in other retailers
Desired Skills and Experience
Extensive experience in sales or marketing with branded consumer product, companies or retailers, preferably in an multi-national environment
Deep knowledge and experience of South African retail landscape and respective business patterns
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Ability to multi-task within a small, fast-paced & dynamic group
Graduate or equivalent with ideally a Business Management degree
