The West Coast District Municipality in partnership with the Department of Local Government: Western Cape (Provincial Treasury) will be offering two bursaries for full-time studies at accredited tertiary institutions to youth residing in the West Coast Region.
First-year students are invited to apply for a bursary for the 2018 academic year, which will be extended to a maximum of three years, provided that the candidate adheres to the bursary conditions.
The bursary is restricted to full-time study and attendance at an accredited University, University of Technology or a registered Private Higher Education institution and is eligible to individuals from historically disadvantaged societal groups or individuals with disabilities.
The maximum estimated bursary amount for 2018 is R60 000 per student.
Applicants who intend to study full-time in the following fields and whom have been accepted by a University, University of Technology or a registered Private Higher Education institution will be considered:
1. Studying towards a National Diploma Financial Information Systems or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
2. Studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management Sciences
3. Studying towards a Bachelors of Commerce in Supply Chain Management
The prescribed application form is available during office hours from the Training and Development section on 022-4338400 or on the BURSARY APPLICATION FORM.
Completed application form, certified copies of documents and proof of registration at academic institution must be forwarded to West Coast District Municipality, Human Resources: Training and Development, P.O. Box 242, Moorreesburg, 7310.
Closing Date: 30 April 2018 Should no feedback from this office be received within 30 days of the closing date, candidates may assume that their applications have been unsuccessful.
