PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATOR GRADE 1 (CLINICAL TRAINING) 6 POSTS
(Head Office, Cape Town, Plumstead)
SALARY : R270 804 per annum (Salary Negotiable)
CENTRE : Directorate: People Development: AIDS Training Information and Counselling
Centre (ATICC)/Regional Training Centre (RTC)

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Health related qualification registrable with the
South African Nursing Council (SANC), Health Professions Council of South
Africa (HPCSA) or South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). Experience:
Experience in Primary Health Care as well as an authorised prescriber to assist
with the mentoring model. Experience in In-service Training and Education.
Experience in primary health care. Experience in specialty areas. Inherent
requirement of the job: A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB) and willingness to
travel. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of training material
preparation and implementation. Knowledge and understanding of health related
Acts, Regulations, Guidelines and other related policies such as Nursing Act,
Health Act, Public Service Acts, Occupation Health and Safety Act etc.
Knowledge on all Primary Health Care related clinical content and be an
authorised prescriber in Primary Health Care. Ability to use all relevant computer
applications effectively, independently and with ease. Note: No payment of any

DUTIES : Key result areas/outputs: Facilitate and teach the clinical programs, non-formal
educational programmes developed for the clinical areas. Facilitate the in-service
training, updating of skills and competencies in the clinical setting. Evaluate/
assess the competencies and skills of health care professionals in the clinical
setting. Effective coordination of clinical teaching programs in the clinical setting.
Conduct content management and training outlines for training outlines for
training programmes for health care professionals as required. Assist with
designing and conducting additional training as and when required.
