Main Purpose
Plan, co-ordinate and effectively communicate trading activities for the Foods Group and post these event/s, to provide detailed analysis to ensure continuous learning & improvement. In conjunction with category planning, develop and agree promotions / campaigns, and ensure effective execution of promotional policy..
Key Responsibilities
- Implement sustainable foods promotional practises and procedures
- Co-ordination of effort across the foods business of regular foods promotions
- Identification, scaling and prioritisation of meaningful selling occasions and events
- Conduct adhoc studies and scrutiny of new opportunities / potential
- Develop strong and productive relationship with the Planning and Marketing teams
- Creation and co-ordination of Foods trading calendar
- Creation and co-ordination of Foods of Foods promotional plan
- Proactive & advance creation of weekly trade plans
- Evaluate, analyse and record promotions
- Contribute towards maximising selling opportunities within the selling teams to ensure that all sales opportunities are maximised
Key Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Retail Business Management related Degree/diploma
- Minimum 3-5 years retail / commercial and stores experience (preferably in Foods)
- Minimum 2years Planning experience (preferably across different areas in Foods)
- In-depth business and commercial understanding and good process/system skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial indicators and can set and manage promotional budgets
- Able to conduct promotional cost benefit analysis and to understand causes of problems and develop workable solutions
- Able to gather, analyse and assess relevant information of past, current or future events, trends or situations and to make informed business decisions
- Fully computer literate i.e. advanced Excel, data mining, spreadsheet analysis
