There were also significant improvements in customer service levels. This was ratified by the Ask Africa Orange Index Survey, which named MTN South Africa the leading customer service provider in the telecommunications industry.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the increased focus on improving capacity to deliver on the business strategy, MTN South Africa has been restructured into a functional organisational design. This has resulted in revised sales and service, marketing, and strategy and business development departments being implemented. This structure has been supported by a number of senior appointments. MTN South Africa has also entered into an information system outsourcing contract to gain access to a broader pool of skills.<\/p>\n<p>The South African mobile communications market is a highly competitive and rapidly changing environment. Included in the range of new competitors are four broadband suppliers and the imminent entry of two fixed-line operators.<\/p>\n<p>MTN Group<\/p>\n<p>South Conceptualize, execute and continuously review MTN\u2019s internal stakeholder<\/p>\n<p>(staff and management) engagement strategy<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Create and sustain a culture of employee engagement to ensure that MTN has<\/p>\n<p>an emotionally committed workforce<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Position MTN as the employer of choice in the eyes of employees<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Create new and optimise existing engagement platforms for the MTN leadership<\/p>\n<p>with staff<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Effectively manage the production of MTN\u2019s bi-monthly publication, Y\u2019ello<\/p>\n<p>Magazine, and all electronically generated communiqu\u00e9s (credibility, relevance,<\/p>\n<p>message consistency, dependability and convenience to the end-users being<\/p>\n<p>key)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Develop the MTN Group Intranet into a fully-fledged communication platform<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide support to key Human Resources initiatives, including the Executive<\/p>\n<p>Leadership Roadshow<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide support to MTN leadership and line managers in order to communicate<\/p>\n<p>effectively with their staff<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Undertake on-going monitoring and reviewing of MTN\u2019s internal communication<\/p>\n<p>strategies to ensure that they stay relevant and assist the company to achieve<\/p>\n<p>its objectives<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Provide support to business units in the drafting of key communication<\/p>\n<p>messages<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Create interactive platforms for staff to engage with one another, leveraging new<\/p>\n<p>media platforms<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Design and collate distribution of media crisis plans to staff<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory \/ Leadership \/ Managerial Tasks: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Manage a team of communication professionals within MTN
