In this role you will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives, integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, and be involved in long-term planning.<\/p>\n<p>Job Number: 1201873<\/p>\n<p>Function: Finance &#8211; Functional Management<\/p>\n<p>Business: GE Technology Infrastructure &#8211; Transportation<\/p>\n<p>Career Level: Experienced<\/p>\n<p>Location: Midrand, South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability<\/li>\n<li>Partner with technical\/business leaders and staff to drive operating performance and act as champion for cost optimization, productivity, inventory accuracy &amp; utilization, as well as inventory standard settings<\/li>\n<li>Develop estimates, operating plans \/ forecasts \/ reviews \/ reports (GAAP), Growth Playbook (3-year plan) and SII (1-year plan)<\/li>\n<li>Develop and establish financial policies&amp; procedures<\/li>\n<li>Perform internal\/external audit.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting process across the operations, drive controllership awareness and processes through operations teams and ensures finance compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four year university or college<\/p>\n<p>Experienced in public accounting in a manufacturing or industrial environment<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desired Characteristics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MBA<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Accountant<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in managing statutory books<\/li>\n<li>Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated team leadership ability<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>PC proficiency<\/li>\n<li>Established analytical and project management ability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/xjobs.brassring.com\/1033\/asp\/tg\/cim_jobdetail.asp?partnerid=54&amp;siteid=5346&amp;OReq=1201873\">Apply for this job<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>General Electric (GE) GE South African Technologies (GESAT), GE Transportation\u2019s entity in South Africa, is seeking to appoint a CFO to form a key part of the leadership team.
