Job Purpose
\nTo provide a comprehensive and accurate payroll service to the unit. To perform data capture for unit payroll to ensure that correct remuneration and payroll processing objectives are achieved.<\/p>\n
Education
\nGrade 12 with Maths and Accounting.<\/p>\n
Experience:
\nMinimum of 2 years general payroll experience.
\nSome experience in payroll related bookkeeping.<\/p>\n
Skills and Knowledge
\nComputer literate in MS Excel.
\nUnderstanding of PeopleSoft and Kronos systems is advantageous.
\nAccuracy and Attention to detail.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\nProblem solving abilities.
\nPlanning and organising skills.
\nNumerical abilities.
\nIntegrity and confidentiality.
\nAble to work in a stressful environment.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:
\nPayroll
\nAdhere to payroll procedures.
\nEnsure accurate and timeous payout.
\nEnsure accurate system data.
\nPersonnel Administration
\nMaintain confidentiality of info as per company policy and procedures.
\nEnsure correct salary inputs for payroll and benefit administration and filing of relevant correspondence.
\nResolve Queries
\nProvide information\/explanations provided accurately reflect the facts \u2013 supporting documents, payment history etc.
\nEmployees kept up to date on the progress of payment (in the loop at all stages).
\nReports generated as per requirements.
\nUnderstands business procedures and processes in order to provide quality outputs to employees.
\nEnsure familiarity with all relevant company rules and regulations<\/p>\n
Equity:
\nPreference will be given to employees from the designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, No. 55 of 1998, SISA internal recruitment policy as well as units employment equity plans.<\/p>\n
