Job Purpose
\nReporting to the Hotel Manager , the incumbent will be responsible for managing all aspects of the rooms division department (i.e. Reception, Housekeeping, Guest Services) to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Education
\nMatric\/Grade 12
\nRelevant qualification in hotel management
\nDiploma in hospitality management an advantage<\/p>\n
Experience:
\nMinimum 2 years front office management experience or Rooms Division Management experience in a smaller establishment
\nSkills and Knowledge
\nCustomer service skills
\nPlanning and organizing skills<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:
\nGuest Service standards are met or exceeded.
\nOffering explained to meet customer needs.
\nComplaint, disputes and suggestions are acted on as per SOP: timeous, resolution, feedback.
\nInventory variance balances to usage (security and control).
\nSufficient stock (e.g. cleaning materials, OE, consumables, stationery) meets operational requirements and adhered to SOP.
\nAnalysis and recommendations address market segment trends.
\nAll SOP\u2019s adhered to.
\nBudgeting aligned to Strategy and Operational Requirements.
\nDP targets are met (Achieve general expenses under Budget and Net Profit over Budget).
\nGeneral appearance and functioning of area is maintained \/ reported as per SOP.
\nStaff, duty and area allocations according to business levels.
\nShift briefings \/ handovers \/ shift reports \/ dispute handling as per SOP.
\nCompany policies and procedures adhered to at all times.
\nDevelopment Plans are managed as per HR guidelines.
\nPerformance appraisals conducted as per unit SOP and HR policy.<\/p>\n
Management Reports:
\nReporting meets business requirements.<\/p>\n
