Role Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Shift Supervisor Mining has the Legal accountability with a 2.15.1 appointment in terms of the Minerals Act and Regulations and is responsible to ensure compliance to Legal requirements and Management specifics, and the completion of records pertaining to his\/her area of responsibility, as stipulated by the regulations.<\/p>\n

Key responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nThe control of production operations within a designated area.
\nInspection of all production activities in his\/her area of responsibilities and the recording of the findings of such inspections.
\nThe inspections of all machinery and equipment in his\/her area of responsibilities and the recording of the findings of such inspections.
\nThe continuous evaluation and monitoring of work performances and the taking of adequate measures to ensure workers are competent to perform their duties.
\nCo-ordination of logistics and the administration of resources within the designated area.
\nTo ensure all work outputs are quality and quantity driven.
\nResponsible to ensure that rules\/regulations and management specifics pertaining to daily tasks are complied with, and to deal with\/report any breaching thereof.
\nThe completion of all reports.
\nEvaluation of daily operations to ensure safety performance
\nConducting legal inspections.
\nRecording of inspections and observations pertaining to Legal and Management specifics.
\nCompletion of administration work.
\nCo-ordination of mining activities, logistical activities and resources through planning, scheduling and communications.
\nOptimising production through the utilisation of resources, motivation and development of personnel.
\nLegal, operational and standard compliance
\nCompleted production administration.
\nAchievement of area planned production.
\nAchievement of section planned production.<\/p>\n

Education:<\/strong>
\nGrade 10
\nValid Blasting Certificate.
\nCompleted Operation Shift Supervisor course
\nSafety courses will be advantageous
\nHR courses (employee relations\/labour relations) completed will be advantageous<\/p>\n

Competencies:<\/strong>
\nFirst Aid Certificate
\nThree years experience as a stoping\/development Miner
\nTwo years appointed as a Shift Supervisor will be advantageous (if not appointed must have acting experience as a Shift Supervisor)
\nTM3 experience will be advantageous
\nMine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency will be advantageous<\/p>\n

Physical Requirements:<\/strong>
\nCertificate of Fitness<\/p>\n
