Purpose of the job:
\nProduce daily and\/or monthly portfolio valuations and financial reports, and actively be involved in day to day fund processes and monitoring.<\/p>\n
Main duties and responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Production of year-end annual financial statements in conjunction (full and abridged versions) for CIS Operations Duties:<\/p>\n 19. \n2. Liaise with Trustees, administrator, auditors and FSB
\n3. Monthly management accounts
\n4. Registration of new funds with SARS
\n5. Ensure fund tax returns are timeously completed and submitted
\n6. Review all distribution calculations as checked by UT Operations for reasonableness
\n7. Review service fees as checked by Operations and ensure it is correctly accounted for in the funds
\n8. Review performance fees as provided by Operations and ensure it is correctly accounted for in the funds
\n9. Check monthly trial balances from Administrator and liaise with Administrator and Trustees on fund accounting issues
\n10. Review and effect year-end adjustments proposed\/required by auditors;
\n11. Ensure year-end audit adjustments processed by Administrator
\n12. Review monthly \/ quarterly rebate and trailer calculations as provided by Operations and ensure it is correctly accounted for
\n13. Check unit trust fee income levels and perform reasonability testing on a regular basis
\n14. Perform fund profitability analysis for each fund
\n15. Responsible for all ad hoc audit tasks as pertain to the Funds
\n16. Ensure that all accounting work performed on the Funds are in strict conformity with CISCA legislation as amended from time to time
\n17. Maintain a daily breach register and report to compliance and Operations with a view of getting the appropriate people
\n18. Assume full responsibility for all financial matters as it relates to Funds<\/p>\n
\n20. Assist Operations team as and when required<\/p>\n
\n2 years experience working in fund accounting with CIS<\/p>\n
\nBComm or similar financial qualification<\/p>\n
