{"id":12192,"date":"2013-06-11T13:12:51","date_gmt":"2013-06-11T11:12:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=12192"},"modified":"2013-09-25T22:26:34","modified_gmt":"2013-09-25T20:26:34","slug":"south-african-revenue-service-jobs-operations-manager-information-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/south-african-revenue-service-jobs-operations-manager-information-security.html","title":{"rendered":"South African Revenue Service Jobs: Operations Manager (Information Security)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>South African Revenue Service Jobs<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Pretoria<br \/>\n<strong>Job\u00a0Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Job Title: Operational Manager Information Security<\/p>\n<p>(South African Revenue Service)<\/p>\n<p>Head Office \u2013 Pretoria Gauteng (South Africa)<br \/>\nMarket Related Salary<br \/>\nPermanent skilled level position at South African Revenue Service in the Government &amp; Local Government (Government) industry.<\/p>\n<p>South African Revenue Service<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To plan, communicate and manage audit projects in alignment with Internal Audit business plan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Plan and supervise audit projects and ensure successful execution thereof to meet the annual operational audit plan.<br \/>\nTo draft the engagement letters and Audit Planning Memorandum.<br \/>\nAccountable for maintenance of Team Mate audit file.<br \/>\nReview team members audit work in terms of Quality Assurance standards (IIA,ISACA) in line with Internal Audit.<br \/>\nEngage and communicate with auditee, audit team and Internal Audit management.<br \/>\nManage the activities and performance of the team against set objectives, taking action to develop, discipline, coach individuals and resolve conflict in order to close the gap between current and desired performance.<br \/>\nDesign the computer audit assisted technique requirements, analyse results and execute audit projects when required.<br \/>\nPrepare and produce reports for audit projects<br \/>\nPerformance evaluation of direct report\u2019s at the required frequency.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge &amp; Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business Process Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Information gathering<\/li>\n<li>Quality Management<\/li>\n<li>Risk Management<\/li>\n<li>Project Management<\/li>\n<li>Research\/Benchmarking<\/li>\n<li>Audit techniques<\/li>\n<li>Report Writing<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of\u00a0PFMA\u00a0and Treasury regulations<\/li>\n<li>All\u00a0SARS\u00a0administered laws, rules and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Internal Audit methodology<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of best practice frameworks e.g.\u00a0COBIT\u00a0(system security).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of\u00a0SANS,\u00a0OWASP\u00a0standards.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of professional standards (IIA;\u00a0ISACA;\u00a0ISA; ISC2).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of business process reengineering principles and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Relevant 3 year Bachelor\u2019s Degree\/Diploma with minimum of 5 years Information Security audit experience on networks, firewalls, databases, operating systems and vulnerability assessments;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Professional certifications:\u00a0CISSP,\u00a0CISM\u00a0and\u00a0CISA<br \/>\nMembership:\u00a0ISACA; ISC2,\u00a0IIA<\/p>\n<p>Employment Equity<\/p>\n<p>The Employment Equity policy of\u00a0SARS\u00a0will be considered as part of the recruitment and selection process.
