ABSA\/ Barclays Bank is currently accepting applications for the Corporate Investment Banking and Wealth Graduate Programme.\u00a0If you want to be a part of a programme that will completely change your life, then this 18 month journey is ideal for you! Under the guidance of a coach, buddy and mentor, the programme consists of three phases.<\/p>\n
Phase One<\/b><\/p>\n
Our orientation program showcases our fully local and fully global environment with local and London-based training. During this international training, you\u2019ll have the opportunity to meet and learn alongside Barclays graduates from around the world, thereby starting to build your global network of colleagues. You are therefore required to have a valid passport.<\/p>\n
Infrastructure graduates will undergo four weeks training in London whilst Front Office graduates will complete an eight week training programme. Training will cover various financial and technical courses as well as the relevant soft skills courses needed to assist you in successfully managing your career.<\/p>\n
The goal of this training is to enable you to be better equipped to perform to the best of your abilities when you return to your role within a specific business unit in South Africa. So even if you are not a finance graduate you will be able to understand all the financial jargon needed to be able to do your job well!<\/p>\n
Phase Two<\/b><\/p>\n
Here you can dive into on the job training and exposure with real responsibilities from day one. Don\u2019t panic, we\u2019ll guide you all the way.<\/p>\n
You will be assigned a coach, buddy and mentor to aid and assist you on your journey.<\/p>\n
Phase Three<\/b><\/p>\n
During this phase you can look forward to a combination of Continued Professional Education, focusing on your individualised development plan as well as more technical components, like the Absa Capital Finance Academy. Socio Engineering forms a large component of your 18 month program.<\/p>\n
