The FirstRand Foundation<\/strong>, and the FNB Fund specifically have made a significant contribution to the education sector in South Africa to date. This has predominantly been in the areas of Early Childhood Development, Hospice, and Tertiary Bursaries.<\/p>\n

Increasing awareness as to the importance of interventions at Primary School level has led to the inception of a Primary Education Programme to roll out in 2013. Ten primary schools in each of two KwaZulu-Natal Education Districts, namely the Umlazi and uMgungundlovu districts, have been identified as partner schools in the programme and will benefit from interventions funded by the FirstRand Foundation over a period of three years.<\/p>\n
