About the job:<\/strong><\/p>\n CSIR Centre for Mining Innovation (CMI) has a challenging position for a Researcherin itsHuman Factors Competency Area in Johannesburg.The Human Factors Competency Area functions as a team of interdisciplinary qualified specialists with vast experience in occupational hygiene, applied ergonomics and human factors for mining and general industrial clients. Research activities focus on the environmental, organisational and job factors, and human and individual characteristics, which influence behaviour at work in a way which can affect health and safety, or result in accidents, injuries and ill-health<\/p>\n Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n Participate in applied research and development (R&D) projects in the mining environment under supervision, and assist with the collection and analysis of data.
\nBe aware of trends in the field of occupational hygiene in order to contribute to the development of research questions, designing of experiments and the implementation of solutions.
\nKnowledge-generation and the reporting on the results of R&D in a number of different ways, including publication of research results in peer-reviewed literature, and presentations at professional meetings and conferences.
