A bursary will be awarded for the completion of a degree or tertiary qualification, whereafter the candidate will join Lonmin as a Graduate-in-Training, where he\/she will be required to undergo a pre-determined development programme with outcomes based on the student\u2019s relevant field. Each Graduate-in-Training will be assigned a Mentor for his\/her guidance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fields of Study:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mining Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Chemical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Metallurgy<\/li>\n<li>Instrumentation<\/li>\n<li>Geology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The value of the bursary includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full tuition fees<\/li>\n<li>Books, meals and accommodation<\/li>\n<li>Monthly allowance<\/li>\n<li>Medical aid cover<\/li>\n<li>8 weeks\u2019 vacation work annually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 \u2013 Maths and Science (60%) or higher<\/li>\n<li>University results \u2013 C average (60%) or higher<\/li>\n<li>Relevant computer skills (MS Office)<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising skills<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability<\/li>\n<li>Ability to cope with pressure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bursary conditions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The bursary is renewable annually, depending on academic performance<\/li>\n<li>Post-qualification, the bursar will be required to work for Lonmin for a period equal to the study period funded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong>losing Date: 31<strong> August 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lonmin.com\/bas\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>\u00a0Apply Online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Should you not hear from us within a period of 21 days of the closing date, please regard your application as unsuccessful.
