The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.<\/p>\n
The Western Cape Division of CHOC seeks to appoint an Events, Fundraising and Relationships Coordinator, based at the Divisional Office in Pinelands, Cape Town.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/strong> Requirements<\/strong>: Salary: R192 000 per annum.<\/p>\n CHOC does not offer contributions to a medical aid scheme, a retirement, pension or provident fund or a 13th month cheque. Cost of living adjustments are made each July. \nIdentify fundraising opportunities and to develop and organise events and other fundraising activities, initiatives and projects;
\nCompile funding proposals and reports;
\nManage sponsorships, sales and securing donations;
\nAssist with marketing and publicity initiatives;
\nIdentify and develop relationships with new and existing donors and stakeholders;
\nCapture data;
\nAssist with awareness and community outreach events and activities.<\/p>\n
\nMinimum of seven years experience in fundraising and events management within the NPO or corporate CSI environment;
\nProven record of proposal writing skills;
\nKnowledge of fundraising\/funding opportunities within the local (Cape Town) donor and corporate community;
\nExperience in marketing, publicity and social media;
\nExperience in data capturing and Microsoft Office programmes including Excel and PowerPoint;
\nUnendorsed Code 08 driver\u2019s licence and own vehicle;
\nExperience in community outreach initiatives is an advantage.<\/p>\n<\/h4>\n
