Job Title: General Manager: IT Commercial<\/p>\n

Reports to: Chief Information Officer<\/p>\n

Summation:
\nThe incumbent will be accountable for the development and implementation of IT Commercial Strategy and therefore responsible to support, manage, and administer contracts and procurement for technology spending on services and products across the organisation. This includes overseeing the execution of requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and invitations for information (RFI). This role will also define and facilitate communication between the company and its providers in order to deliver products and services according to plan and within budget and ensure on time payment to suppliers.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n

\u2022 Develop and implement the IT Commercial Services Strategy.
\n\u2022 Manage all IT agreements and contracts
\n\u2022 Develop and implement the associated Service and Operational Level Agreements
\n\u2022 Manage the maturation process of agreements\/contracts to ensure that renewals and terminations can be effected timeously
\n\u2022 Manage the agreement\/contract in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements and within the allocated time frame
\n\u2022 Manage procurement in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements
\n\u2022 Manage Strategic Supplier Relations
\no Identify the relevant role players in accordance with business requirements and dependencies
\no Obtain mutual agreement on the resolution of issues, meetings required and the delivery of inter-dependent outputs and results
\no Monitor the performance of all relevant role players continuously to ensure that the agreements are honoured
\no Inform the relevant role players of the outcomes, deviations and actions required
\no Implement continuous follow-up to ensure that the relationship is maintained
\no Compile a database indicating the role players, expected outputs, contact details, type of agreements and relationships
\no Document the interaction with the relevant role players for future reference purposes
\no Submit the documentation for archiving in the document management system
\n\u2022 Provide expert consultation and advice
\n\u2022 Financial and Staff Management
\n\u2022 Ensure on time payment of invoices
\n\u2022 Define strategic sourcing<\/p>\n

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
\n\u2022 A Legal Qualification or minimum Para-Legal Qualification at NQF level 7 (Full credit bearing qualification)
\n\u2022 8 Years\u2019 experience in Contract Management on a Senior Management level preferable in an ICT environment
\n\u2022 Proven track record in contract management
\n\u2022 Sound understanding of ICT technology
\n\u2022 Good knowledge of business-area activities
\n\u2022 Knowledge of Government related acts (PMFA, ECT, etc) as well as policies and procedures<\/p>\n
