\nThe role of Business Director is a senior management position at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide \/ South Africa. The Business Director of the Corporate Practice holds responsibility and accountability for the full business function of their practice or unit as well as contributes towards decision making across the entire agency.<\/p>\n

The Business Director of the Corporate Practice is responsible for the following core functions:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Management functions\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Developing a strategy for the practice<\/li>\n
  2. Day to day running of the practice<\/li>\n
  3. Management reporting<\/li>\n
  4. Member of the Management Council and participation in management activities<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    Financial functions<\/strong><\/p>\n
      \n
    1. Budgets and forecasts for the unit<\/li>\n
    2. Control of monthly billings<\/li>\n
    3. Management of debtors<\/li>\n
    4. Management of client contracts<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Staff \/ HR functions<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Management of all staff functions in the unit<\/li>\n
      2. Approval and management of leave, expenses and claims<\/li>\n
      3. Management of appraisals and performance issues<\/li>\n
      4. Management of all new hires and related documentation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
        <\/div>\n
        New Business Development<\/strong><\/p>\n

        1. Development of a new business strategy<\/li>\n
        2. Ongoing identification and targeting of business opportunities<\/li>\n
        3. Assisting and leading teams on new business<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
