Line reporting to the Programme Managers, the incumbents will be responsible for managing multi-projects and
\nmultidisciplinary projects through integrated project management approach to enhance interdependencies of
\nprojects, stakeholder management to ensure projects meet their objectives.<\/p>\n
PRIMARY DUTIES<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Responsible and accountable for multi-projects and multidisciplinary projects.
\n\uf0b7 Manage project master plan, stakeholder management, project governance and providing leadership.
\n\uf0b7 Manage system\u2019s projects progress meetings and monthly status reporting.
\n\uf0b7 Assist with screening, prioritisation and scheduling of projects in consultation with various stakeholders.
\n\uf0b7 Intimately know the big picture from a project and production perspective.
\n\uf0b7 Manage system\u2019s shutdown programme and minimise the risk of water supply disruptions as a result of projects.
\n\uf0b7 Ensure projects meet their objectives of time, cost, quality and scope for Rand Water to meet supply of water at the desired quality and quantity.
\n\uf0b7 Provide technical and project management guidance to other project managers.
\n\uf0b7 Investigations and assessments of engineering problems on Rand Water sites and recommending solutions.
\n\uf0b7 Manage the scheduling of resources and assessment of the system\u2019s ability to effectively execute its responsibilities for both internal and external projects.<\/p>\n
JOB REQUIREMENTS
\n\uf0b7 Applicants must be in possession of a formal engineering qualification (BTech, BSc\/BEng degree).Formal\u00a0engineering qualifications (BTech, BSc \/ BEng degree).<\/p>\n
\uf0b7 Project Management Qualification\/Professional Certification (Diploma, Degree or Project Management Professional-PMP).
\n\uf0b7 Professional Registration (or eligibility to be registered) with the Engineering Council of SA.
\n\uf0b7 10 years Project Management experience with a proven track record in managing high level projects, project management skills (best project management practices) in terms of managing matrix structures, multidisciplinary and multi projects.
\n\uf0b7 5 years\u2019 experience in the engineering field, mainly in water industry.
\n\uf0b7 Advanced Management Programme will be an advantage.
\n\uf0b7 Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, OHSACT (construction regulations, etc).<\/p>\n
