Status: Contract appointment \u2013 season bound (1 October till 30 April) @ R 12.00 per hour<\/p>\n
The Langeberg Municipality wants to invite young energetic candidates to be trained as life guards.
\nCandidates will be required to undertake a swim test. This is a compulsory evaluation. Candidates will be informed when to report to the identified Testing Centre to complete the compulsory tests. Candidates are advised to bring their own swimwear, equipment, towel, food and refreshments to the Testing Centre. Candidates who pass the swim test will qualify to be evaluated on the lifesaving techniques. These are compulsory evaluations & requirements.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Grade 10 or 12 months relevant lifesaving experience; The ability to meet the requirements to the Qualifying certificate standard as per the Lifesaving South Africa\u2019s certificate; A valid lifeguard certificate would be an advantage; Physical fit;<\/p>\n
Patrolling, monitoring and controlling the pool, deck and diving areas; Monitoring and controlling the entrance to and exit from the pool and physical activities of patrons; Identifying, preventing and removing hazards and threats to pool users; Recognising and response quickly to all emergency situations; Ensuring own safety and that of others while participating in rescues; Applying the correct\/ prescribed lifesaving and first-aid procedures.<\/p>\n
