The mine is currently mining at a depth of 747<br \/>\nmeters using mechanized trackless block-cave mining.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Grade: C2<\/strong><br \/>\nReference Nr: CUL084<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The incumbent will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical infrastructure and will be<br \/>\nrequired to maintain various plant and project installations according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tasks and Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\n\uf0b7 Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs to equipment and machinery according to<br \/>\nmaintenance requirements<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Foreman<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Develop, modify, construct\/fabricate and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Identify spares requirements and order according to departmental procedure<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Communicate with clients and supervisors on maintenance activities performed and equipment handover<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Work according to the Mine\u2019s Code of Practice and report any observations of this not being done<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Ensure personal and co-workers\u2019 adherence and compliance to Security and Company\u2019s SHE objectives<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n\uf0b7 Qualified Electrician with Trade Certificate at recognized \/accredited institution<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Valid Public Drivers License Code EB (08)<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Five years\u2019 experience as an Electrician in a plant\/project environment<br \/>\n\uf0b7 HT experience<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Siemens S7 PLC, industrial instrumentation, Siemens Simacode MCC starters and Adroit experience will be advantageous<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Skills \/ Competencies:<\/strong><br \/>\n\uf0b7 Planning, leading and organisational abilities<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Independent, proactive thinking, motivated and have the ability to do own job planning<br \/>\n\uf0b7 High level of multi-skilling, including Cutting, Welding, Fitting and Rigging<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Electrical Construction work and planning thereof<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Pass Vienna Assessment (Level 2) &#8211; (test to be conducted on mine)<br \/>\n\uf0b7 Work overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise<br \/>\nCullinan Diamond Mine is an equal opportunity employer and reserves the right to appoint.
