\n\u2022 Implement the Finance Divisions Strategy in accordance with best practice.
\n\u2022 Ensure all financial accounting functions are performed, evaluate overall effectiveness, and make improvements where required.
\n\u2022 Manage the \u201cCentralised Accounts Department\u201d ensuring the daily review of bank reconciliations and month end general ledger reconciliations including fixed assets, prepayments, VAT and Income Tax.
\n\u2022 Produce monthly management accounts and conduct monthly variance analysis identifying cost optimisation opportunities
\n\u2022 Continually evaluate accounting standards (IFRS & Swiss GAAP) and legislative requirements
\n(VAT, TAX, SARB Regulations), identify potential impact and make recommendations to mitigate risk.
\n\u2022 Review monthly Group Reporting Pack and ensure submission within deadline.
\n\u2022 Advise the CFO on key costs, profitability and cash flow metrics.
\n\u2022 Prepare the annual financial budget for the bank ensuring input from Senior Executives.
\n\u2022 Prepare ALCO pack and advise ALCO on Regulatory developments
\n\u2022 Prepare year end audit pack and Annual Report, ensuring achievement of deadlines.
\n\u2022 Review monthly BA Returns to SARB ensuring accuracy of information and compliance with BASEL III principles prior to CFO sign off.
\n\u2022 Manage relationship between external auditors (KPMG) and internal auditors and ensure all deliverables are timeously prepared.
\n\u2022 Attending to ad-hoc requests and providing assistance in other areas of the business including special projects.
\n\u2022 Manage Human Resources for the finance department.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Appropriate qualification \u2013 CA (SA). Big 4 articles preferred.
\n\u2022 Three to five years post articles experience at a manager level.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of computerized systems, specifically an advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and financial systems.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of BASEL III, IFRS, Banks Act, National Credit Act and other regulations impacting banks.
\n\u2022 Well-developed report writing, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
\n\u2022 Computer literacy, preferably in Microsoft Office Suite at intermediate level.
\n\u2022 Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
\n\u2022 People management skills.
\n\u2022 Highest level of professionalism, integrity and judgment.
\n\u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
\n\u2022 Must be a team player and self-motivated
\n\u2022 Ability to function in a highly pressurized environment<\/p>\n
