Position ID 60001030]<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Main purpose of the position:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To effectively manage the Outreach Unit and its activities, maintain stakeholder relationships and manage strategic partnerships at provincial to local levels.\u00a0 The incumbent must have the ability to develop strategic plans, business plans and budgets for outreach activities.\u00a0 The Manager Outreach must have the necessary organisational and people skills to assist with supporting and enabling of service providers and Field staff.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b>:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, monitor and evaluate strategic plans and budgets for the unit<\/li>\n<li>Regular monitoring of the Unit\u2019s performance against strategy, implementation plans and budgets<\/li>\n<li>Project manage\u00a0 Outreach projects<\/li>\n<li>Appoint service providers to implement projects<\/li>\n<li>Monitor service providers and manage project risks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor and evaluate proposals and budgets for Outreach activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute towards the development and delivery of integrated ancillary services (print, web, mobile Outreach, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and ensure effective utilisation of operational and project budgets and resources<\/li>\n<li>Financial accountability to Managers and clients (sponsors, funders, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Regular report to clients and management<\/li>\n<li>Assist Business Development in the identifying and sourcing of funding and sponsorships<\/li>\n<li>Ensure delivery of all content onto multiple platforms<\/li>\n<li>Stay abreast with new Media trends<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective but simple use of technology by end user<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance to SABC policies and procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/b>:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 Bachelors degree or relevant tertiary qualification<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a02 \u2013 3 years relevant and managerial as well as project management experience<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 Experience in the planning and implementation of interactive activities and social action campaigns<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 Experience in community related projects<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0 Ability to interact and manage different stakeholders<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 Understanding of multi media<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act and the SABC\u2019s Employment Equity initiatives.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Apply, with a concise CV to: The HR Manager: Television.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Email:<\/b> &lt;tvjobs@sabc.co.za&gt;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Closing Date: \u00a015 October 2013<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">If you have not had any response within six weeks of the closing date, please accept that your application has been unsuccessful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANAGER: OUTREACH \u00a0 [Salary scale code 300 &#8211;
