\nAsset acquisition register maintenance and verification
\n\uf0b7 Advise buyers and administration officers on correct procedure to procure assets.
\n\uf0b7 Verify that the cost of the asset is correct in terms of the Asset Management Policy and that all
\napplicable costs have been included.
\n\uf0b7 Review asset acquisitions to ensure that assets are categorised correctly in terms of the Asset
\nManagement Policy.
\n\uf0b7 Ensure that all assets are on the register and that the depreciation is done in accordance with the
\nrelevant policy.
\n\uf0b7 Review that the asset register is updated with respect to all items of information relevant to each asset
\nitem.
\n\uf0b7 Develop and maintain a process of relocation of assets.
\n\uf0b7 Review all asset master data changes for accuracy.
\n\uf0b7 Ensure all asset holders have an updated location asset register at all times.
\n\uf0b7 Conduct regular asset verification throughout the financial year.
\n\uf0b7 Assist with the reconciliation process between the verification result and the data on the SAP fixed
\nasset register.
\n\uf0b7 Assist asset clerks with bar coding of existing and new assets.
\n\uf0b7 Assist asset clerks with large disposals and movements.<\/p>\n
\n\uf0b7 Compile monthly management reports.
\n\uf0b7 Maintain a database of all fixed assets on SAP. (Functional location, asset class, status, etc.)
\n\uf0b7 Maintain policies and procedures in respect of the management of assets.
\n\uf0b7 Control Capex budget. Liaise with business units to verify expenditure.
\n\uf0b7 Ad-hoc admin tasks.
\n\uf0b7 Compile and verify lists of assets to be scrapped.
\n\uf0b7 Ensure that policies and procedures related to fixed assets are adhered to by regular communication
\nwith asset holders, managers and heads.
\n\uf0b7 Review the accuracy of fixed asset register on SAP.
\n\uf0b7 Review policies and SOPs in respect of the management of assets within Mintek, communicating
\nchanges to all staff. Monitor compliance regarding asset management.
\n\uf0b7 Control Capex budget. Liaise with SBUs to verify actual vs. planned expenditure.
\n\uf0b7 Develop a system to track movements of assets.
\n\uf0b7 Monitor capital projects and ensure that settlements of projects are done on time.
\n\uf0b7 Maintain asset master data on SAP.
\n\uf0b7 Evaluate useful life of major assets.
\n\uf0b7 Maintain a schedule of current year acquisitions with supporting documents.
\n\uf0b7 Review asset register on a regular basis for anomalies.
\n\uf0b7 Assist annually with review of useful life and impairment of assets.<\/p>\n
\n\uf0b7 BCOM Acc. Degree or a National Diploma Acc. (3 Year Diploma) \uf0b7 Three (3) to five (5) years\u2019 practical experience with respect to the management and control of fixed
\nassets, in a supervisory capacity.
\n\uf0b7 Excellent knowledge of IFRS and the PFMA and in depth knowledge of the applicable policies and
\nlegislative requirements.
\n\uf0b7 Good working knowledge of MS Office. (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)<\/p>\n
