{"id":15464,"date":"2013-10-21T04:50:19","date_gmt":"2013-10-21T02:50:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=15464"},"modified":"2013-10-21T06:22:56","modified_gmt":"2013-10-21T04:22:56","slug":"etv-internships-camera-operator","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/etv-internships-camera-operator.html","title":{"rendered":"eTV Internships: Camera Operator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Key performance areas include the following training:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>record audio and video material to be edited and packaged into a news insert for broadcast.<\/li>\n<li>plan and develop the visual presentation of a story with a reporter assigned to the news story.<\/li>\n<li>apply the principles of visual story telling through aesthetically pleasing and technically correct compositions, angles and camera movements, making sure to deliver images with the correct exposure and colour balance.<\/li>\n<li>cover news events by shooting sequences with continuity for editing purposes.<\/li>\n<li>use correct lighting and sound recording techniques to comply with broadcast standards.<\/li>\n<li>edit video and audio for a news insert, out on location.<\/li>\n<li>transmit video and audio material from out on location back to the studio or to the bureaus, as instructed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 2 years study completed and requiring \u201con the job\u201d training.<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s licence.<\/li>\n<li>A keen interest in news and current affairs.<\/li>\n<li>A good general knowledge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: the successful candidate will be required to work irregular and long hours, including weekends and public holiday, and standby shifts.
