Mandate<\/p>\n

You will be required to identify and develop new business opportunities whilst working in a team across various divisions in Mimecast. You will be accountable for achieving an individual target as well as a team target and will be expected to consistently track and measure your progress, preempting and mitigating obstacles within the sales cycle.<\/p>\n

About the role<\/p>\n

Mimecast is offering an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned IT Sales Consultant, well networked and experienced in opening doors, driving solution sales processes and closing large deals.<\/p>\n

The Mid Market Business Development team works very closely in a team consisting of a Partner Account Manager, Sales Engineer, Product Upsell and Customer Advocate, however, maintaining an individual target as well as a team target. The successful candidate will need to be fairly autonomous and approach their job as a business within a business ensuring that they can create their own leads and are technically confident enough to handle most levels of complexity. This position also dovetails with our Channel Sales Team, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with all Partners\/Resellers of Mimecast, of which 4 of the top 5 System Integrators in South Africa are Partners.<\/p>\n

Who we are looking for<\/p>\n

The Mimecast Mid Market Consultant needs to be a naturally enthusiastic, effervescent and energetic HUNTER sales professional who is looking for a role that places them at the forefront of cutting edge technology and innovation with an established solution set. Mimecast is in a phase of hyper growth and therefore requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Disciplined, hard worker is essential.<\/p>\n

You must be able to establish & maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle, exude a passion for understanding the technical needs of the customer and articulating the value of Mimecast\u2019s products and solutions in meeting those needs at an Enterprise Level. You must therefore be a naturally confident and engaging communicator who is able to represent Mimecast with impact and professionalism with one or two individuals or a team, right through to a board of directors.<\/p>\n

The sales opportunities for the Mimecast\u2019s Unified Email Management solutions are endless and sales executives are incentivized with a highly lucrative uncapped commission structure, quarterly and yearly sales incentives and share options.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Executive level Mid Market sales engagements
\nPrepare individual customer engagement strategies and plans
\nLeveraging existing contacts, marketing and networking opportunities to create sales opportunities
\nDevelop and maintain a robust Sales Pipeline within a CRM\/ERP system
\nPrepare presentations, proposals, business cases, total cost of ownership, evaluations and sales contracts.
\nProvide engaging, appropriate product demonstrations to potential clients.
\nBe proactive in developing & maintaining the required level of knowledge in Email infrastructure, Cloud Computing, and the Software as a Service landscape.
\nManage and work with Channel partners where required
\nCommunicate & present opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate Mimecast departments and staff.
\nParticipate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, channel forums and telemarketing events.
\nManage and monitor client implementations
\nManage client handovers to Account Management.
\nFollow-up with clients for the collection of outstanding payments<\/p>\n

Essential Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The successful candidate must:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have at least 7 years HUNTER IT solution selling experience (farmers need not apply)
\nTrack record of EXCEEDING sales revenue targets
\nExperience opening and closing large enterprise deals following proven solution selling methodology
\nAdvanced customer service, relationship building, negotiation and contract management skills
\nUnderstand Enterprise customers decision-making processes and structures
\nBe a self-starter with a hunger to excel and the ability to work well within a fast-paced team environment
\nPatience but ability to persevere through extended and complex sales cycles
\nBe a creative dealmaker
\nAbility to close extended sales engagements
\nBe a natural and engaging communicator and networker
\nBe able to work independently with little supervision and direction
\nBe meticulous and detailed
\nBe able to demonstrate a passion for IT and Technical aptitude
\nAbility to think laterally, despite pressure and competing deadlines
\nAn above and beyond attitude
\nAn ability to remain committed and focused despite setbacks and objections.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diploma beneficial, however not essential<\/p>\n
