The position primarily offers demand planning support, as part of the demand planning team and under the guidance the line manager, to a variety of internal and external customers including;<\/p>\n<p>Port, Rail and Pipeline capacity development teams;<\/p>\n<p>Corporate Centre functions and Operating Divisions;<\/p>\n<p>Project Development Teams (for FEL 1 to 3 projects);<\/p>\n<p>Shareholder and Governmental Departments (for queries and requests for information including SIPs \/ PICC); and Local and provincial governments (for support to Transnet bilateral planning engagements).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>The position is responsible for using a variety of demand planning tools including to:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Process queries and generate reports as required by his\/her manager;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in the annual update of the TTM with FDM data;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in checking and testing of input data and ensure that the TTM is updated at all times;<\/p>\n<p>Prepare demand-related presentations and reports as needed<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Position outputs:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The position is required to provide assistance, support, etc. under the guidance of the Demand Planning Manager including: Demand reports used as input for the annual updating of the LTPF;<\/p>\n<p>Long-term demand targets for budget updates and corporate plan;<\/p>\n<p>Inputs to EXCO, Board and DPE briefing documents and background analysis;<\/p>\n<p>Project-specific demand forecasts for FEL 1 \u2013 3 projects;<\/p>\n<p>Written responses and position papers to ad-hoc queries from various external sources;<\/p>\n<p>Maintaining accurate Transnet Transportation Model source data;<\/p>\n<p>Inputs to the Demand Chapter in the LTPF;<\/p>\n<p>Inputs to the Demand Book publication bi-annually; and<\/p>\n<p>Arrangements and organisation of demand planning workshops.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>B-degree in Science, Computer Science or Logistics is required<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Competencies:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Logistics and Supply Chains (basic);<\/p>\n<p>Data manipulation and integrity management (basic); Statistics, data analysis and informatics (basic); SQL, Excel, Access (basic)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How to apply<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Applicants that are interested in applying for the advertised position must\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/recruiting.transnet.net\/sap\/bc\/webdynpro\/sap\/hrrcf_a_posting_apply?PARAM=cG9zdF9pbnN0X2d1aWQ9NTI3QkIxQTg3QTE1MDgzMEUxMDA4MDAwMEE2MkUzOTkmY2FuZF90eXBlPUVYVA%3d%3d&amp;sap-client=400&amp;sap-language=EN#\" target=\"_new\">click here<\/a><\/b>\u00a0to apply on the Careers section of the Transnet website.
